Common questions
Why doesn’t the camera open?
The camera works only during a live window, roughly golden hour through last light, morning and evening. That’s the point of Skysta. Everything shared was really taken in the light it claims. The Capture tab counts down to your next window.
Where does the Sky Score come from?
It’s worked out on your phone from the hourly forecast at the minute the light peaks, including the sky along the light’s path toward you. It’s our best read, not a promise. And when there’s no forecast, there’s no score. We never make one up.
Who can see where my photos were taken?
Nobody, unless you choose otherwise. A shared sky carries no location by default. If you turn on “show on the map” before sharing, that photo is pinned exactly where you took it. Your choice, every single photo. Your journal never leaves your phone. The details are in the privacy policy, which is written in plain English on purpose.
How do I report a photo or block someone?
Tap the ⋯ menu on any shared sky to report it or block its author. We act on reports within 24 hours. Blocking hides everything from that account, immediately, on your device and our servers.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Delete account, inside the app. It removes your shared skies, your account, your profile picture and your journal. If any part can’t be removed, nothing is deleted and you can try again. There’s no undo.
Can you add my favourite spot?
Suggest it from the Discover tab. There’s a map, so you can drop the pin exactly. A person checks every suggestion before it goes live for everyone.
